Hartford Airport (IATA: BDL; ICAO: KBDL), named as Bradley International Airport, is an international civil and military airport serving the Hartford County, in the United States. Concretely, it is located in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, about 25 km away from Hartford city centre. BDL Airport has one large passenger Terminal, where you can find the following Services and Facilities:

CLUBS & LOUNGES

- The Admirals Club: The Admirals Club is conveniently located directly across from boarding gate A-24. It has internet access, cable TV, newspapers, periodicals, fax machines, copiers, shredders, non-alcoholic beverages, snacks, beer and wine. Premium alcohol, beer and wine are available for purchase. Also there is a conference room and small, private areas for conversation and relaxation.To access the club, you must be a American Airlines or US Airways Club member, or a member of an approved lounge partner. - The Escape Lounge: the Escape Lounge is a common-use lounge which any passenger can pay to gain access to, without needing to fly with a particular airline. The Lounge features stylish and contemporary furnishings, a wide array of complimentary hot and cold food and drinks, private restrooms, flight information screens, free high speed WiFi, a relaxed atmosphere, and a selection of newspapers and magazines.The Lounge is located near Gate 1, across from the Dunkin’ Donuts.

Pick-up and Drop-off

Passenger pick-up (lower level) and drop-off (upper level) locations are accessible to airport entrances. Skycap service is located on the upper level to assist with baggage.

Parking

Parking spots for drivers of vehicles displaying proper identification available in the parking garage and within each of the surface lots. 

Wheelchairs

Departing and arriving passengers can request wheelchair assistance with their airline. For departing passengers, please contact the skycap podium or the ticket counter agent for assistance once you reach the departure level of the airport. Upon your arrival back to Bradley Airport, the airline will have the wheelchair waiting for you at the gate if the request was made in advance. 

Elevators

One elevator is located in the center of the south wall across from the American Airlines ticket counter and second elevator is located to the right of the main security checkpoint.

Commuter Carrier Lift

Bradley International Airport offers a specially equipped lift to facilitate boarding by individuals with disabilities on commuter aircraft. Passengers must contact their airline in advance to make arrangements for the equipment. Some exceptions do exist with certain aircraft types. Check with your airline for more information.

Restrooms

All restrooms at Bradley International Airport are wheelchair accessible. A unisex companion-care restroom is also available adjacent to baggage claim area four on the lower level. 

Travelling with animals

Service animals are allowed throughout the entire airport. For service animal needs inside the concourses, please speak to your airline representative at the airport.

Luggage carts

To assist with baggage handling, luggage cart dispensers are located throughout the terminal and may be rented for $5.00 each with a rebate of .25 issued upon return of the cart. The dispensers are equipped to accept credit cards.

Any person who believes she or he has been aggrieved by any unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI should report the complaint to the Disability/Title VI Coordinator at 860-292-2057.

TSA

Items lost or unattended anywhere within the inspection lanes and the screening area are processed by the TSA’s lost and found personnel. Inquiries should be directed to the TSA at (860) 804-4109.

State Police

Items located anywhere else on airport are turned over to State Police. To claim any item you should call (860) 292-7400.

Pets and animals

o Only service animals are allowed in the terminal without a kennel.
o All other pets are required to remain in their kennel when in the terminal.
o Passengers should contact their airlines for specific policies and fares for transporting pets in cargo or for traveling with a pet or service animal.
o Passengers should contact TSA for information on security screening for a pet or service animal.
o Service animals are allowed throughout the entire airport.
o For service animal needs inside the concourses, please speak to your airlines representatives at the Airport.
o Pets are allowed throughout the entire Airport, however, they must remain in their kennel at all times.
o For the health and safety of the pet, it is advisable to discuss travel plans with a veterinarian.
o Relief areas are located on the lower level, at both ends of the terminal building, adjacent to Doors 1 and 6. Follow the painted paw prints on the sidewalk.
o Passengers are encouraged to use the animal relief areas before going through the security screening checkpoint.
o Disposable bags, scooper, and a trash can are available for the passenger’s use.

TSA PRECHECK

TSA Pre is a screening program that allows travelers to leave on their shoes, light outerwear and belt, keep their laptop in its case and their 3-1-1 compliant liquids/gels bag in a carry-on, in select screening lanes. It allows U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents to go through a pre-enrollment process online to provide biographic information (name, date of birth, address, etc.), fingerprints, payment and valid required identity and citizenship/immigration documentation. This program requires an application fee of $85 for a five-year membership. Once approved, travelers will receive a Known Traveler Number and will have the opportunity to utilize TSA Pre lanes at security checkpoints at more than 150 participating airports and on 12 airlines. At Bradley, a TSA Pre lane is available at the main TSA screening checkpoint. The application center at Bradley International Airport is conveniently located in the baggage claim area.

Mother’s nursing lounge

Is located post security, next to the CNBC store. It is available round-the-clock and features comfortable seating, a sink, a fold-down changing table and a power outlet for mothers who use electric pumps.
